In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and stripping to preserve the appearance of various flooring surfaces. Handle industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment for large or heavily soiled areas. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues that require professional attention. Support custodial operations by organizing cleaning supplies and ensuring equipment is in good working order. Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to promote a safe working environment for all staff. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, with knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and polishing. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use. Previous experience with facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not required. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
