Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties Under the supervision of the Cajon Scales Sergeant, the Custodian I is responsible for performing maintenance-related duties and maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all facilities. Essential duties include sweeping and clearing exterior walkways and steps, as well as removing trash and debris from parking lots and paved areas. Custodial responsibilities encompass vacuuming carpets and rugs; sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors; emptying waste receptacles and shredder bins; washing windows and cleaning window blinds; and dusting, cleaning, and polishing workstations, desks, tables, countertops, shelves, file cabinets, and electronic equipment. The Custodian I is also responsible for cleaning and maintaining all restrooms and break room areas. Additionally, this position assists with inventory management and ordering of janitorial supplies.
