Job Description

Oak Tree Gun Club is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Facility Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests, members, and staff. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining multiple areas throughout the facility, including the clubhouse, restrooms, range areas, walkways, and outdoor customer-use spaces. Key Responsibilities General Facility Cleaning Clean and maintain the clubhouse, common areas, walkways, patios, seating areas, and customer spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned indoor and outdoor areas. Empty trash cans throughout the property and replace liners as needed. Pick up litter and debris around the facility, parking areas, walkways, and range-adjacent areas. Keep public areas presentable throughout the day, especially during busy weekends and events. Restroom Maintenance Clean and sanitize all restroom areas throughout the facility. Refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other restroom supplies as needed. Check restrooms regularly throughout the shift to ensure they remain clean and stocked. Report plumbing issues, broken fixtures, leaks, clogged toilets, or safety concerns to management immediately. Range-Specific Cleaning Support Assist with keeping the areas around the pistol, rifle, shotgun, and archery ranges clean and organized. Remove trash, cardboard, used targets, and debris from designated customer areas. Help maintain outdoor seating, tables, benches, and gathering areas near the ranges. Follow all range safety rules while working near active shooting areas. Report any found ammunition, firearm parts, safety concerns, or unusual items to range staff or management immediately.
Clubhouse / Customer
Area Support Keep entrances, counters, floors, windows, and customer-facing areas clean and welcoming. Assist with cleaning around the pro shop, café seating areas, event spaces, and high-traffic areas. Help prepare and clean up before, during, and after special events when needed. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude around customers, members, vendors, and staff. Supplies & Maintenance Reporting Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when items need to be reordered. Properly store cleaning products and equipment after use. Report damaged property, safety hazards, spills, broken equipment, or maintenance needs immediately. Follow proper procedures for cleaning products, PPE, and safe chemical handling. Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, maintenance, or facility cleaning experience preferred, but not required. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must be comfortable working outdoors and around loud noises from active shooting ranges. Must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures. Must have strong attention to detail and take pride in keeping the facility clean. Must be professional and respectful when interacting with customers and staff. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and event days as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and carry throughout the shift. Ability to lift trash bags, cleaning supplies, and equipment as needed. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to work around dust, dirt, noise, and high-traffic areas. Must be able to use cleaning tools and equipment safely. Job Type Part-time or Full-time, depending on availability and facility needs. Schedule Must be available for weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
