Job Summary:
The Sanitation I position is responsible for maintaining and cleaning breakrooms, restrooms and warehouse locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manzana Food Products charges all employees with the responsibility to fully participate in all company policy and program initiatives for Food Legality, Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Defense; each employee, no matter their position or job function serves a key role in contributing to safe, quality food. Learn and understand the daily cleaning procedure forms; properly fill out and sign off on these forms on a daily basis. Learn the time frames given for each job and utilize the time efficiently to assure that the job is done correctly and on time. Use personal protective equipment as required for each cleaning task performed. Return all cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, etc. to the sanitation room after job duties have been completed. Understands correct labeling of chemicals and containers. Understand the use of, and safely use, cleaning chemicals. Aspects which include safety, measurements and applications of the chemical. Be able to follow SSOP's. Maintain the interior and exterior of the building according to standards for Manzana Products Co, Inc. Maintain cleanliness of designated areas such as: Warehouse 1, Warehouse 2, Warehouse 3, Warehouse 4, Warehouse 5, breakrooms, restrooms, QA/QC lab and offices Responsible for establishing priorities and working independently without direct supervision. Follows all Manzana sanitation guidelines. Follows all Manzana Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Follow safety rules, including those relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Overtime hours may be required based on work demand. Employee must be flexible with these hours. Perform other duties as assigned or required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma, or equivalent Must have a basic mechanical knowledge working with tools. Be able to Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide. The ability to work at high altitudes and learn to operate mechanical lifts. The ability to work from a ladder or platform in a safe manner. The ability to work inside small, confined spaces. The ability to learn multiple jobs and the proper procedures for performing these jobs. The ability to work both independently and within a team. Supervisory Responsibility None Physical Demands While performing the duties stated above, the employee is frequently required to walk on wet floors, go up and down ladders and stairs, set the HP hoses, handle cleaning chemicals, and work in wet and warm environments. The employee must have the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must have the ability to push and pull heavy equipment such as foamers, pumps, etc. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential demands of this job.
