Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are spotless, organized, and functioning properly to create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and campers. Your proactive approach to cleaning, repairs, and facilities upkeep will help uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety across the premises. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas such as offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces. Conduct routine janitorial tasks with precision to maintain a hygienic environment that meets health standards. Carry out custodial responsibilities involving floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors to ensure they remain durable and visually appealing. Provide basic facilities maintenance including minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, fixing fixtures, and addressing general upkeep issues promptly. Assist with industrial cleaning projects or specialized commercial cleaning tasks as needed to support larger maintenance operations. Support residential painting projects or touch-ups to improve the appearance of interior spaces when required. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas while adhering to safety protocols for industrial cleaning procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures. Knowledge of floor care methods such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing is highly desirable. Prior experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments is preferred. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and general upkeep activities. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following health guidelines. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.
