Restaurant Kitchen Cleaning Technician Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Cleaning Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for deep cleaning commercial restaurant kitchens, equipment, and food preparation areas to maintain health code compliance and safe working environments. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dependable, and comfortable working in fast-paced commercial kitchen settings. Key Responsibilities Deep clean commercial kitchens, including floors, walls, ceilings, and cooking equipment Degrease fryers, grills, ovens, hoods, and kitchen surfaces Clean walk-in coolers, freezers, and food storage areas Pressure wash kitchen floors and back-of-house areas when required Remove grease buildup and sanitize surfaces Follow food safety and sanitation standards Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or early mornings Qualifications Previous commercial kitchen or janitorial cleaning experience highly preferred Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for long periods Strong attention to detail Reliable transportation and punctuality required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of restaurant operations or food safety standards is a plus Work Environment Fast-paced restaurant kitchens Exposure to cleaning chemicals, grease, and water Physical labor including bending, lifting, and standing Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay starting at $18/hr Overtime opportunities Training provided Growth opportunities within the company
