Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and mechanically aware Service Porter to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional guest service and supporting the efficient flow of vehicles—especially vans—throughout our dealership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to safely operate, inspect, and move vans of various sizes. Individuals with dealership, automotive, or delivery experience are preferred. Candidates with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check will be strongly considered. Key Duties & Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide courteous, professional service throughout their visit Safely operate and maneuver vans within parking areas and dealership property Perform visual inspections of vans, checking for basic mechanical issues such as warning lights, low fluids, unusual noises, or visible damage Enter and exit vans comfortably, including stepping into higher vehicles and moving through tight spaces inside the vehicle Move vans to designated areas for servicing, cleaning, staging, or customer pickup Clean vans as needed, including interior wipe-downs, vacuuming, and exterior washing Handle vehicle keys, paperwork, and cash transactions with accuracy and responsibility Keep parking lots, service lanes, and staging areas clean, organized, and free of hazards Communicate effectively with service advisors, technicians, and team members to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with simple administrative tasks such as cashiering, organizing documents, or performing basic retail math calculations Requirements Prior experience in guest services, hospitality, automotive service, dealership operations, or delivery driving preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required Must be able to pass a background check Ability to comfortably enter, exit, and operate vans of different heights and sizes Basic mechanical awareness with the ability to identify simple issues during inspections and solve them Strong communication skills with a commitment to high-quality customer service Ability to safely operate vehicles in various conditions Bilingual abilities are a plus for assisting a diverse customer base Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and simple retail math Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in vehicle movement, inspections, and documentation Must be able to work Sundays and morning or evening shifts as needed
