Position Summary We are seeking a part-time reliable and detail-oriented 3rd shift floor staff to provide a safe and clean environment for residents in a dynamic shelter environment. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving and communication, demonstrate a self-starter attitude, and take pride in maintaining a clean environment, all while upholding professional boundaries

Schedule:

24-32 hours per week, 2 - 12 hour shifts Saturday and Sunday nights, one shift 8pm-12am on Wednesday cleaning the kitchen. Key responsibilities This role involves a high paced environment where consistency and flexibility are necessary. Being able to work alone, problem solve and self motivation are key. Ensuring the safety of the guests, facilities and property of Haven RIdge. Meeting guest needs, requests and mediating arguments/complaints. Deep cleaning the commercial kitchen and other areas of Haven RIdge Upholding Haven Ridge's core values of inclusivity, dignity, and harm reduction while fostering a safe and respectful living environment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1+ years of experience working in a shelter environment or lived experience. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must be alert and engaged throughout the full shift Experience utilizing trauma-informed care or de-escalation training is a plus Ability to set and maintain firm, compassionate boundaries with guests. Comfort working with diverse populations including LGBTQ+ individuals. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Compensation & Benefits Pay rate: $21 - $23 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods during a 12-hour shift Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs (cleaning supplies, laundry, supplies, etc.) Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach while performing cleaning duties in a commercial kitchen and other facility areas Comfort with exposure to commercial cleaning chemicals Ability to remain alert and physically engaged throughout the entirety of an overnight shift This position will remain open until July 1st, 2026 .
