- Reports to Maintenance Manager About Modern Midstay Modern Midstay is a real estate and hospitality business that acquires, renovates, furnishes, and manages small multi-family buildings in Denver's best neighborhoods.
We own and operate 64 units across 12 buildings, ranging from 1 to 4-unit rentals up to 15-unit apartment buildings. Our vision is to be the best owner-operator of small-scale real estate in the country. In our first five years, we've grown our Denver portfolio to $20M in real estate. In the next five years, we'll build a scalable system and team to provide our guests and investors the best service at the lowest cost. Learn more at www.modernmidstay.com and www.airbnb.com/p/modernmidstay Role Objective You'll make sure every unit is clean, fully stocked, and ready to make a great first impression for guests. You'll keep the common areas and exteriors in good shape. You'll work a flexible schedule determined each week based on our turnover calendar plus a steady weekly porter route. What you'll do Inspect units after cleaners and before the next guest, confirming each meets our standards, and touch up anything the cleaners missed so it's guest-ready in one visit. Verify kitchens and bathrooms are stocked with proper housewares and consumables. Pull missing items from inventory and flag anything running low for reordering. Track the inspection and report issues through our inspection app, Breezeway. Handle light maintenance on the spot — batteries, light bulbs, tightening furniture and fixtures, troubleshooting electronics — and report larger repairs to the Maintenance Manager.
Run a weekly porter route:
clean and reset common areas (mail rooms, laundry rooms, trash areas), wipe down outdoor furniture and grills, and keep shared spaces presentable. Nice to have (for more hours): Light yard upkeep — weeding, sweeping, and clearing debris to maintain curb appeal. (Mowing, landscaping, and snow removal are handled by others) What we're looking for Cleaning or housekeeping background, with a sharp eye for what a great cleaner would catch and fix. This is the core of the role. Handy enough or willing to learn light fixes (bulbs, batteries, tightening fixtures). Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed; you'll work independently across properties. Comfortable using a smartphone app for checklists and reporting. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and weekend availability. Compensation & Schedule $25 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement for travel between properties (not commute).
Part-time and variable:
roughly 6 to 12 hours per week, but varies with season/guest schedule. Bonus tied to a zero-complaint standard (eg, no guest check-in complaints).
