General Cleaner / Janitor

Description:

Seeking Part Time Employees to fulfill shifts: 5:30 - 9:30 Responsibilities Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restrooms, etc.) Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Coordinate and cooperate with team members Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

Preferred Skills and Abilities General understanding of ongoing housekeeping and cleaning procedures. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules. Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions Ability to follow instructions. Ability to exercise common sense, good judgement, and consistency Attentive to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Qualifications Proven working experience as a Janitor, 1 year preferred Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently Physical Demands and Working Conditions The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to bend, reach, grasp, stoop, stand and/or walk for extended periods.
