About the
Position:
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Porter to support our Michelin-starred kitchen and service team. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and flow during service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, moves with urgency, and understands their impact on the overall guest experience in a fine dining environment. Join the Michelin-Starred Team at Xiquet by Danny Lledó Xiquet by Danny Lledó, Washington D.C.'s Michelin-starred destination for refined Valencian cuisine, is seeking a dedicated Porter/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This is a critical back-of-house position that ensures the kitchen and service stations operate smoothly at the level expected of a Michelin-starred restaurant. You will play an essential role in supporting chefs and front-of-house staff in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, dish stations, and service areas throughout service Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment Ensure proper organization and restocking of clean items to support smooth kitchen flow Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general kitchen maintenance Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards consistently Support cooks and chefs with basic prep and cleaning tasks as needed Maintain a sense of urgency during high-volume service periods Keep dish area and back-of-house spaces clean, safe, and organized at all times

Qualifications:
Strong work ethic and reliability are essential Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards Team-first attitude and willingness to support wherever needed Prior kitchen or dishwashing experience preferred, but not required Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary
