Janitorial Cleaner / Custodian

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaner / Custodian to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe environments across large-scale residential and commercial facilities. Your proactive approach, reliability, and commitment to excellence will help ensure that all spaces from common areas to restrooms consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, stairwells, and common areas using proper cleaning tools and supplies Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces including door handles, railings, light switches, and shared equipment Conduct routine custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, recycling, window cleaning, and surface sanitization Maintain restrooms by cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures; restock soap, paper products, and supplies Clean and sanitize shared kitchens, breakrooms, laundry rooms, and lounges Operate floor care equipment including buffers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors to maintain flooring standards Assist with deep cleaning projects such as restroom detailing, high/low dusting, and interior glass cleaning Transport trash and recycling to designated disposal areas in accordance with facility guidelines Support facilities maintenance by identifying and reporting repair needs or safety concerns Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment Maintain cleanliness logs and monitor supply levels for efficient operations Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning (commercial or residential preferred) Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safe chemical handling practices Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Good organizational skills for managing cleaning schedules and supplies Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work Work Schedule Monday - Saturday Day Shift (Typical hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM) Work Environment Large residential and campus-style facilities Includes common areas, restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and shared spaces Fast-paced environment requiring consistency and attention to detail Why Join Us?
