Job Description
Job Summary Join Germ Slayers Cleaning & Maintenance Solutions as an Evening Janitorial Technician supporting State Government facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and professional environments in government offices, service centers, and public buildings. Team members work independently and as part of a cleaning team to perform routine custodial services that help ensure facilities meet State cleanliness and inspection standards. Responsibilities Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas Replace liners and maintain clean waste receptacles Vacuum carpeted offices, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop hard floor surfaces Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, railings, door casings, and other surfaces Spot clean walls, doors, glass, and high-touch areas Restock restroom supplies as needed Follow building security, key control, and alarm procedures Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or building issues to supervisors Complete assigned tasks according to contract schedules and quality standards Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Reliable transportation required Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to work evening shifts consistently Strong attention to detail and dependability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required Authorized to work in the United States Benefits $16.00-$18.00 per hour Typical schedules range from 15-29 hours per week Consistent evening work Paid training Uniforms shirts provided Advancement opportunities into Lead Technician and Supervisor positions Additional hours may be available at multiple locations Additional Information Some facilities require enhanced background investigations. Candidates who successfully complete advanced screening may be eligible for assignment to higher-security locations, pay increases, and additional work opportunities.
