Janitor and Cleaner

Job Title Janitor Supervisory Responsibilities:

JOB OVERVIEW

This position will thoroughly clean various areas of the gym and locker rooms while sanitizing equipment and removing trash with the aim of ensuring our members have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior of the building including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, group exercise rooms/areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.
• Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager
• Replace air filters and maintain HVAC systems
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Washing and clean windows and mirrors
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Follow "Lost and Found Policy" and turn in lost member property to the Front Desk
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
• Good organization skills
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
• Excellent time-management skills
