Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques such as buffing and floor care equipment. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Maintain facilities by performing basic maintenance tasks like light repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring equipment is in good working order. Operate custodial equipment safely and efficiently to deliver top-quality cleaning results across both commercial and residential environments. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with porter duties such as moving supplies or furniture and supporting other maintenance staff as needed. Keep detailed logs of cleaning activities, supplies used, and maintenance performed to support operational transparency. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures is essential. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting enhances your effectiveness in this role. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team ensures consistent quality. Previous porter or custodial experience in large facilities or institutions will be considered an asset.
