Job Description

SUMMARY The Janitorial Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment throughout the company's facilities. This role supports daily operations by performing routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks to uphold the company's standards of cleanliness and professionalism. To be considered for this position and/or to perform this job successfully, an individual must have these skills and abilities or be able to acquire them in a reasonable timeframe.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Clean and sanitize office spaces, conference room, break areas, and restrooms
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and carpets
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated areas
  • Restock restroom and kitchen supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Clean windows, glass doors, and interior glass partitions
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
CONDUCT OF BUSINESS
The majority of customer contact will be via telephone or electronically. The employee is expected to consistently maintain professional behavior and demeanor when in discussion with clients or any other party.
TRAINING AND EDUCATION
  • From time-to-time there may be onsite and /or online training or education requirements.
When there is a future requirement, the employee will be given sufficient notice to comply.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and filing cabinets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.

Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00
