Outdoor Maintenance Manager Summary:
The HarborWalk Village Outdoor Maintenance-Common Area Cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness of all outside common areas, and outside businesses located at the HarborWalk Village. This role may include a variety of additional cleaning tasks based on business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities On multiple occasions throughout the day, clean the public restrooms to include mopping, sweeping, toilet, sinks, and trash cans. Keep bathrooms stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and cleaning supplies. Sweep and mop outside common areas to include elevator landings, 2R and Grande staircase. Sweep/pick up trash in Village areas where assigned, to include picking up trash and debris in flower beds. On multiple occasions throughout the day, pull trash cans and wipe them down. On multiple occasions pull dumpsters from various locations/restaurants throughout the Village and take them to the compactors located outside of Coyote Ugly Sweep/pick up trash in all parking lots and parking garage - empty all trash cans and wipe them down. Clean windows and doors. Wipe down tables, chairs, and benches. Hose the Charter area daily in front of all food trucks. Hose down L dock and grey dock of all bird droppings. Clean interior of trash cans. Check dog clean-up bag stations and refill bags as needed. Pull dumpsters from restaurants and unload them into compactor. Clean/sweep under all dumpsters and dumpster areas. Sweep and pick up trash in all staircases within the Village and parking garage. If assigned a motorized cart - do inspection on equipment before and after use. Stock and maintain all cleaning carts. Repair/replace toilet paper, paper towel, and soap dispensers. Attend shift change meetings. Report any and all issues such as leaks, stains, or damage. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with confidence. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Previous janitorial experience a plus. Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements Knowledge Must be a self-starter and show initiative. Must complete all duties assigned with pride and purpose. Solid knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliant workplace safety practices. Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with guests and coworkers in a harmonious manner. Customer service must be a priority. Ability to handle multiple operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines Key Competencies Key Competencies include strong work ethic and attention to detail. Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Qualifications Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. License Requirements Valid driver's license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years. The physical environment requires the employee to work mostly outside in the heat, and inclement weather.
