Custodian Gulf Breeze, FL 32563 $1,500 a month - Part-time $1,500 a month - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our team and ensure our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout our premises, supporting a positive environment for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach to custodial tasks will help uphold the high standards of hygiene and safety that define our organization. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being of our community by providing exceptional custodial services. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Handle janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies to ensure a hygienic environment. Execute specialized custodial tasks such as industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning projects as needed. Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs or hazards promptly to ensure safety and functionality. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or minor repairs to uphold facility standards. Maintain cleanliness logs and report any issues or incidents to supervisors efficiently. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures including buffing and polishing. Experience with various cleaning equipment and supplies; familiarity with industrial cleaning tools is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a clean environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience, facilities maintenance knowledge, porter experience, and familiarity with commercial cleaning standards.
