QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or more Ability to operate motor vehicles, mowing equipment, and other machinery as deemed necessary Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

(Typical tasks shall include but not be limited to:) Responsible for the general cleaning and minor maintenance of the school grounds & buildings Keep buildings and school grounds neat and clean at all times, including but not limited to the following items "daily": Keep school grounds free of debris: bottles, cans, paper, etc.

Check for vandalism:

buildings, windows, sidewalks, etc. Be sure all outside walkways and entries are swept/blown and free of debris Clean sports complexes and prepare for upcoming events Dispose of trash as directed Prepare and clean the lunch area when needed Other duties as assigned Mow grassy areas around school, sports fields, and any other areas of school property as directed by administration. Weedeat, trim, and edge areas to maintain the school grounds and sports complexes have an attractive appearance. Assist in appropriate use of the irrigation system and report any damages/malfunctions to administration immediately upon discovery Assist with cleaning up storm debris following inclement weather See to it that equipment is in good working order and see to it that regularly maintenance is performed to ensure peak performance and safety Report immediately to the principal any damage to school property. Move furniture or equipment as required for various activities and as directed by the principal. Wash all windows outside and in non-classroom areas as needed. Clean desks, tables, chairs, walls, doors, light fixtures, floors, etc. as needed or as directed. Replace light bulbs, repair door latches, and perform other minor maintenance as needed. Complete general cleaning and maintenance of buildings during the summer with direction from the principal and maintenance supervisor. Always be alert for irregularities and recommend needed improvements, additions, or replacements of equipment. Assist in inspection of buildings and grounds in assigned areas Keep an accurate record of time on timesheets furnished. Record the exact time you begin and stop work each day and the number of hours worked monthly. Time sheets must be turned in on the 16th of each month. Perform such other tasks as directed by the school principal or maintenance supervisor. All other duties assigned by school administration.
