Job Description

Hometown feel with supportive staff and administrators. "A-rated since 2006." We are currently looking for a full-time custodian for our school for the later shift (@3:00pm - 11:00pm). We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. This person will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing student and staff common areas throughout the school including classrooms, bathrooms, hallways and the cafeteria. This job also includes maintenance type work, non-routine cleaning and special projects. Hired employees will need to be fingerprinted and drug screened.
Responsibilities include:
- Completes daily work schedule for areas assigned
- Routinely follows proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, uses proper chemicals and cleaners safely, productively, and according to directions given in training
- Complete non-routine cleaning as needed according to specified instructions
- Cleaning spills and other messes up as quickly as possible
- Performing maintenance activities
- Routinely reports safety hazards, malfunction of equipment or plant facility to supervisor
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1+ year of janitorial experience preferred
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- Time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain schedule while responding to incidents
- Capacity to take direction
