Job Title:
Sanitation Specialist Job Description The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the facility. This role ensures that food products are produced in compliance with health and safety regulations. The Sanitation Specialist will clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and rooms throughout the building, adhering to cleaning schedules and using cleaning chemicals safely. Additionally, they will report any issues and help ensure the facility adheres to food safety and sanitation regulations. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting items, and working in various temperature conditions. The specialist will handle cleaning chemicals and must always comply with safety protocols. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and workspaces. Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures. Use cleaning tools and chemicals safely. Inspect areas for cleanliness and report issues. Help prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness across the facility. Essential Skills Experience in sanitizing and contamination prevention. Proficiency in cleaning and handling chemicals. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards. Familiarity with FDA sanitation regulations. Experience in food manufacturing sanitation processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications At least 1 year of sanitation or cleaning experience (preferred). Basic knowledge of cleaning and food safety practices. Ability to follow instructions and attention to detail. Reliability, organization, and teamwork skills. Comfortable standing for long periods, lifting, and working in various conditions. Work Environment The position is based in a third-party Food & Beverage Manufacturing facility. The role involves working in different temperature conditions, including hot, cold, and humid areas, and requires compliance with safety rules when handling cleaning chemicals. Employees are provided with company uniforms and safety shoes, depending on the role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maitland, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
