Custodian

Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial / Janitorial Specialist to join our manufacturing team! In this role, you won't just be maintaining a building—you will be an essential part of our daily operations, ensuring our team has a pristine space to safely produce great work.

Pay Rate:

$17.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Saturday 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Flexibility:

Candidates must have the availability to work earlier, later, and on weekends as directed or needed to support operations. Duties Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, bathrooms, and supervisor office spaces. Regularly emptying trash and garbage containers to keep the facility clean and orderly. Maintaining the building by performing minor maintenance activities under the guidance of your supervisor. Replacing air conditioner filters when directed. Clearing debris from all door entrances to guarantee safe passage for everyone. Informing supervisors of any building misuse or misconduct , and notifying management regarding major repair or addition needs for lighting, heating, and ventilation equipment. Qualifications A high school diploma or GED; OR 1 to 3 months of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands & Work Environment This is an active role. You will regularly stand, walk, and use your hands to handle or feel objects. You will frequently reach with hands and arms , and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lifting/moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required. The job is performed in a manufacturing environment with a moderate noise level. You may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as extreme heat or cold.
