Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for cleaning building, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums, shampoos carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sweep and mop floors. Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces. Pick up trash from the residents' apartments and common areas. Steam-clean carpets. Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners. Clean up spills with appropriate equipment. Identify and report possible repairs. Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Wear name tag while on duty. Report to work on time and in proper uniform. Required to handle biohazard waste. Must complete all assigned Relias training on a timely manner. Cell phone usage is prohibited during work hours. Will be required to work your scheduled shift during a hurricane. We are a 24/7 working facility. Perform other duties as assigned by Director. Education and/or

Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with everyone Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within supervision. High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

The physical ability to stand and or walk continuously. The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously. Ability to manage your time efficiently. Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
