Job Description:
Janitor Department:
700 Job Summary The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in designated areas throughout the facility in support of continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures a safe, clean, and sustainable working environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing floors, walls, and equipment in assigned areas. Maintain cleanliness standards to support continuous improvement efforts across the facility. Perform minor touch-up work including painting floors, walls, and equipment when required. Ensure all work areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards. Complete daily assignments as directed by supervision. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required. Skills & Competencies Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong initiative, proactive mindset, and a high level of energy. Detail-oriented with a commitment to thoroughness and quality. Dependable and motivated to complete daily tasks effectively. Physical & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Work may be performed in environments that are dirty, hot, or otherwise physically uncomfortable. Requires standing, walking, bending, and use of cleaning equipment for extended periods.
