Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Perform floor care tasks such as buffing and waxing
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a janitor or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
