Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create an inviting atmosphere for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle industrial cleaning tasks which may include deep cleaning of machinery or large areas requiring specialized techniques. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock supplies as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness. Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, or reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Support facilities maintenance by ensuring trash removal, window cleaning, and surface sanitation are consistently performed. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care and buffing procedures. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and upkeep tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
