OneStreet Residential is seeking a customer-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented Porte r to join our team at a beautiful 112-unit active adult community in Tucker, GA . The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and enjoys providing exceptional service to residents and guests. As a Porter , you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding resident experience by ensuring the community's amenities, common areas, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards. Role and Responsibilities:
The Porter will maintain all common interior and exterior amenities, ensuring the community is clean, and up to company standards in all weather conditions. Community Appearance & Cleanliness Clean and sanitize common areas including: Lobby, Elevators, Restrooms, Amenity spaces, Leasing office, Trash rooms and assisting with Vacant units. Ensure dumpster, compactor, and waste areas remain clean, organized, and sanitary. Restock supplies and cleaning materials as needed. Grounds Maintenance Perform routine property walks to ensure all buildings, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds are free of litter and debris. Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or areas requiring attention to the Community Manager. Assist in maintaining curb appeal through regular groundskeeping activities. Apartment Turnovers Complete trash-outs of vacant apartments in preparation for make-ready turns. Perform touch-cleaning of vacant apartments and model units, if applicable, to ensure they are move-in ready. Maintenance Support Assist with light and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Operate equipment such as power washers, blowers, wet vacuums, and other basic maintenance tools. Resident Service & Team Support Deliver friendly, professional, and respectful customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and team members. Adhere to all Fair Housing laws and company policies. Assist with resident events and community functions, which may occasionally require evening or weekend participation. Support the property management team with additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Comply with all product labels, manufacturer instructions, and cleaning/maintenance guidelines. Qualifications Required Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing daily needs. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to dust, dirt, and cleaning products. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Preferred Previous porter, groundskeeper, janitorial, housekeeping, or related property management experience. Experience operating basic maintenance equipment, including power washers, blowers, and wet vacuums. Experience working in apartment communities, 55+ communities, or hospitality environments. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, bend, walk, use hands and fingers to control objects, reach with hands and arms to lift/push/pull items, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to effectively communicate. Exposure to both indoor & outdoor environments, in both hot & cold weather conditions. Exposure to dirt and dust. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time. 150 pounds with assistance devices (dollies, hand trucks, additional people). Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds on the back. Must be able to push and pull up to 80 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders.
