Custodian Job Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout production, warehouse, and common areas supporting food safety and hygienic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, common rooms, hallways, warehouses, and production areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all floor types to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Empty trash, restock supplies like soap, towels, and cleaning agents. Use and manage cleaning tools and equipment. Promptly report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to supervisors to sustain a safe and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

Previous custodial or janitorial experience in fresh produce production is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards. Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Great communication skills and a team-player attitude.
