Job Overview Aloha We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities in Hilo. This opportunity is every other week office cleaning. Roughly 3 hours of work time. It can be any time from 8am to 5pm Monday to friday. This vital role ensures that all office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and workstations are kept in pristine condition, promoting a healthy and productive atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall well-being of our workplace while developing valuable custodial skills. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of office spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by disinfecting fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper sanitation. Conduct routine trash removal and recycling collection across all designated areas. Use commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and cleaning carts efficiently and safely. Assist with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities upkeep. Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or contamination. Support janitorial and custodial operations by coordinating with facilities management for supplies and schedule adjustments. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings. Expertise in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance procedures. Ability to operate commercial cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning motions throughout shifts. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
