Duties Help Duties include but are not limited to: Performs custodial duties as required inside and outside of buildings including; but not limited to, trash/garbage removal, sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, washing walls/windows, and sanitizing bhrooms/kitchens. Cleans all lobbies, passageways, stairwells, laundry rooms, public restrooms, and other common use areas in and around buildings. Loads, unloads, and reloces heavy, bulky items such as furniture, supplies, and linen (clean and dirty) by hand or using carts, dollies, hand trucks, golf carts, or similar lifting/carrying devices. Performs deep cleaning as required. Deep cleaning may include defrosting refrigerors and freezers, cleaning windows (interior and exterior), replacing and/or cleaning drapes/curtains, moving furniture, and cleaning normally hidden areas, carpet cleaning (shampoo and/or spot trement), cleaning walls/woodwork, and other such tasks. Deep cleaning may require the use of pressure washers, steam cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaning machines. Ensures security of all guests is maintained all times. Ensures guest privacy is maintained all times. Must possess a welcoming manner and positive titude; demonstre effective communicion skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide informion about local tractions. Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary. Assists management with the facility's inventory control program. Performs all other reled duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION
Able to apply general knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved, commonly used chemicals (including MSDS) and adherence to basic safety policies is required. Must be able to communice clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing with management, staff, and guests.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and a variety of repetitive motions. Must have ability to perform moderely strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds is required. Assisted lifting, moving and carrying up to 100 pounds may be required. May be required to climb/descend stairs and properly placed stepladders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed indoors in areas th normally have adeque he, light, and ventilion. Some duties require exposure to outdoors, resulting in exposure to weher conditions. The incumbent may be exposed to dirt, disagreeable odors, and skin/eye irritants from strong cleaning solutions used in household cleaners. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be used.
SPECI AL REQUIREMENTS
This position may be designed ALPHA personnel for inclement weher or in the interest of nional security and may be required to report for work when other employees are excused. This position is subject to the possibility of workdays on weekends and holidays, as well as, roting shifts, often consisting of other than normal duty hours. The staff member may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis.
In order to verify fitness for duty, a complete physical examinion may be required. May be required to possess a valid ste driver license, as travel to other facilities may be required within the normal scope of duties.
