Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and presentable for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained Handle industrial cleaning tasks including deep cleaning of machinery or specialized areas when needed Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles, recycling bins, and disposal areas; ensure proper waste management practices Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution Use commercial cleaning tools effectively and safely to uphold sanitation standards Support porter responsibilities by moving supplies or furniture as required for cleaning or maintenance purposes Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is advantageous Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily cleaning routines effectively Join our team and help create a pristine environment that promotes health, safety, and comfort for everyone.
