- Part-time, Contract We are looking for a janitor to carry out cleaning duties at the USDA-FS_Council, ID 3 days a week.
- Must be willing to submit fingerprints and pass a federal background check
- Responsibilities Weekly Cleaning (Each Visit):
- Sweep/mop non-carpet floors; vacuum carpets/mats.
- Empty trash/recycling; replace liners; clean bins.
- Clean glass, mirrors, & drinking fountains; no streaks.
- Dust all horizontal surfaces; wipe smudges; polish wood.
- Clean restroom fixtures, counters, and light fixtures. Restrooms (3x/Week):
- Clean & disinfect all fixtures/touchpoints; descale as needed.
- Sweep/mop; restock soap, TP, towels; empty trash; clean glass.
Periodic Tasks:
- Strip/wax floors
- 1×/yr | Carpet shampoo
- 2×/yr.
- Interior windows
- quarterly | Exterior windows
- semiannually.
- Monthly detail: dust lights, remove stains/smudges.
Weather & Safety:
- Keep entrances clean/dry during rain, snow, or mud.
- Secure tools/equipment; maintain OSHA safety compliance
