Janitorial Worker

Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Operate floor care equipment including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept floors. Assist with industrial cleaning projects when necessary, including deep cleaning of large spaces or specialized equipment. Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting issues related to plumbing, lighting, or structural concerns. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper storage and safety protocols are followed. Follow safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and the use of cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuums. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects, and climbing ladders when necessary. Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and facilities maintenance is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
