Day Porter Day Porter Job Summary The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the day while delivering excellent customer service. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role requiring proactive attention to facility needs, regular interaction with building occupants, and immediate response to cleaning or maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic and common areas including lobbies, hallways, entrances, elevators, and shared spaces Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms throughout the day Respond promptly to spills, trash overflow, and other immediate cleaning needs Monitor facility conditions and report safety hazards, damages, or maintenance concerns Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners as needed Replenish consumable supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer Perform light cleaning tasks including dusting, wiping surfaces, spot cleaning glass, and touchpoint disinfection Maintain janitorial closets and ensure supplies are stocked and organized Provide courteous assistance to customers, including directions or general information when needed Support special requests or event setup/cleanup as directed Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Job Requirements Skills and Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and stay proactive throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks Good communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to respond quickly to changing needs in a fast-paced environment Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous janitorial or porter experience preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Ability to work daytime hours with flexibility as needed Details Full Time 1st Shift Mon-Fri 8:30a-5p $16/hr Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) PTO Now offering Daily Pay!
