Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an engaging opportunity to showcase your cleaning expertise and facilities maintenance skills in a dynamic setting. This is a contractor 1099 position. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to maintain cleanliness standards. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality and appearance. Handle janitorial tasks with precision, ensuring all areas are hygienic and well-organized. Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve heavy-duty equipment or specialized cleaning techniques. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues promptly. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or equipment to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols are essential for success in this role. No experience required, will train on site.
