Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your proactive approach will contribute to a positive experience for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care procedures to ensure a polished appearance Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to health and safety standards Conduct industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large equipment when necessary Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams Support custodial operations by replenishing supplies like paper towels, soap, and trash bags Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is advantageous Familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role
