Janitor (Part-time)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various areas of the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Hours:

Evenings and rotating weekends Monday•Thursday 4 pm•9 pm

Friday:

4 pm•8 pm

Saturday:

2 pm•7 pm

Sunday:

2 pm•7 pm Duties Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Conduct commercial cleaning activities in offices, restrooms, and common areas. Maintain cleanliness of facilities through regular cleaning schedules and procedures. Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Carry out basic facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building upkeep. Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility. Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment. Requirements Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness is mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting. Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as needed during cleaning tasks. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned duties within designated timeframes.
