Monday-Friday, 9:30 PM - 6:00

AM Pay Rate:

$20.00-24.00/hour (Schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs.) Position Summary The Sanitation Lead is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product quality in a USDA‑regulated food manufacturing facility. This role oversees the proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and facility areas while ensuring compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Ensure a high level of food safety and product quality through effective cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and facility areas. Disassemble and reassemble manufacturing equipment for thorough cleaning. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Properly understand and safely use cleaning and sanitation chemicals. Remove waste from production rooms and dispose of it according to plant procedures. Clean both production and non‑production areas. Perform cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, foaming, hand‑scrubbing equipment, walls, and floors. Comply with all OSHA, plant safety, and sanitation regulations. Qualifications & Requirements Prior sanitation experience required; safety experience preferred. Previous experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment is a plus. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs unassisted. Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and twisting. Ability to work at heights using stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms. Ability to wear required protective clothing and equipment, including safety shoes, masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard nets, and gloves. Willingness to follow all grooming and hygiene requirements for a food manufacturing environment. Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and other variable environmental conditions. Ability to work in environments where food allergens may be present.
