Job Shift Nights Category Facilities Description Job Summary:
Responsible for cleaning patient rooms utilizing the seven-step method of cleaning, isolation areas in accordance with protocols, bathrooms and all other areas of the hospital/clinic/physical therapy department according to cleaning schedules. Assist with patient lifting and sitting with a psych patient when there is no tech in ED (when busy). Empties trash, picks up soiled linen and restocks linen in ED, Radiology, 1st and 2nd Floor. Refills paper products, vacuums, wipes surfaces, dust & wet mops, buff the floors, strips and re-waxes floors throughout the hospital in accordance with cleaning schedules. Vacuums entryway rugs and performs snow removal from sidewalks and entry doors. Job Responsibilities Assist in lifting patients and sit with a psych patient when there is no tech in ED. (when busy) Collects and transports trash and soiled linen safely and appropriately on 1st floor, Emergency Department, Radiology, and 2nd floor nurse station and restocks linen, as needed. Dust & wet mop daily & use floor scrubber. Buff the floors, strip and re-wax floors, hospital-wide. Vacuum rugs daily. Performs snow removal from sidewalks and entry doors. Performs general cleaning of Physical Therapy department, per the cleaning schedule. Clean patient rooms using the 7-step cleaning process and isolation areas in accordance with protocols. Clean bathrooms and all other areas of the hospital/clinics according to cleaning schedules. Have the knowledge and ability to work any schedule in the Housekeeping Department. Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures for housekeeping. Uses standard precautions appropriately. Safely operates equipment, appropriately uses and stores chemicals. Adheres to Confidentiality/Release of Information guidelines for adults and minors. Maintains an acceptable level of competency as measured by quality assurance inspections. Displays competency in actions during emergency situations.
Qualifications Education Level and Other Requirements:
High school graduate and ability to read and follow written instructions and ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Certification /
