Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Maintain high standards of cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as window washing, surface sanitizing, and restroom restocking to ensure hygiene standards are met. Operate floor care machinery including buffers and polishers to maintain shiny, well-kept surfaces. Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups in residential or commercial settings. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Support industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including cleaning large-scale facilities or specialized equipment. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of custodial procedures. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Familiarity with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment including vacuums, mops, buffers, and pressure washers. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently in large or complex environments. Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs and residential painting are a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards. Strong physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various environments throughout the day.
