Job Description

Custodian 2nd Shift 2001 West Just Industrial Parkway, Austin, IN 47102 $17.40 - $20.20 an hour - Full-time $17.40 - $20.20 an hour - Full-time Responsibility Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Objectives of:
Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment. Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society. Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady. Compliance.
Accountable to:
HR Coordinator, Senior HR Mgr., and Plant Manager Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written skills. Able to maintain confidentiality of information and work independently.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm Scheduled overtime required to support production needs, including occasional weekend coverage Leadership Model proper, respectful, and courteous communications with all associates, management, visitors and vendors while remaining professional, polite and courteous. Service Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Blood Borne Pathogen training is required upon hire. Detail/Task -oriented and thorough. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance. Ability to keep the building clean and orderly. Ability to interact with associates, management, visitors and vendors while remaining professional, polite and courteous. Operations Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas (offices, breakrooms, kitchens, restrooms) of the building. Pick up trash and empty trash containers daily in common areas (offices, breakrooms, kitchens, restrooms) of the building. Outside trash should also be checked and emptied daily. Stairways and railings cleaned monthly. Clean/wash windows in common areas of the building regularly. Cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies and toiletries in restrooms, kitchens, and breakrooms. Walls cleaned regularly. Mop all floors in common areas of the building daily. Vacuum all rugs in common areas of the building daily. Cleaning ceiling vents and lights quarterly. Examines property for safety hazards, reports problems to Facilities Manager or other appropriate staff. Maintain a neat and orderly custodian room ensuring cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. Performs other related duties as assigned. Upkeep of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing/walking Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time High school diploma or equivalent required Strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written skills. Able to maintain confidentiality of information and work independently.
