In this vital role, you will take charge of maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they meet high standards of hygiene and safety. Your proactive approach will help create a positive space for employees, families, and students alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your custodial skills while contributing to a well-organized and professional environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, classrooms and common spaces using commercial cleaning techniques. Conduct detailed floor care procedures to maintain pristine surfaces. Manage janitorial duties including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies to ensure continuous cleanliness. Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning tasks. Maintain a safe work environment by following proper safety protocols during all custodial activities. Document cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management. Supervise two part time custodians offering guidance and direction as needed. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on school settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies for thorough sanitation. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Supervisory experience required. Background check, drug screen, physical and referenced required. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
