Summary of Position The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment to support daily operations and ensure compliance with company safety and sanitation standards. This position performs routine cleaning duties throughout the facility, including production areas, breakrooms, restrooms, offices, and warehouse spaces. This position is a non-union role and follows company policies, safety procedures, work rules, and standard operating practices.
Shift / Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing floors, surfaces, windows, mirrors, and common areas. Perform outdoor housekeeping duties, including sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and maintaining a clean facility exterior. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment. Complete assigned cleaning schedules and tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional attitude and positive interactions with employees, customers, and visitors. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial environment. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe cleaning practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical & Mental Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The position requires frequent use of hands and arms to reach, handle, grasp, and manipulate materials and tools. Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and arms. Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching overhead may also be required. Employees must have adequate vision and hearing to safely operate equipment and work within a manufacturing environment. Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and proximity to moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) may include safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, protective gloves, and other safety equipment as required by company safety policies.
