Job Description
Job Summary Part-Time 3 Days a week. Sunday-Tuesday 7am to 11am We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces meet high standards of hygiene and appearance. Your proactive approach and dedication will contribute to a positive experience for everyone who enters our premises. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in commercial and industrial cleaning while supporting the overall maintenance of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Conduct routine custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfecting. Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools with safety and efficiency. Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring supplies are stocked. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards. Support industrial cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleans of large areas or specialized equipment. Maintain detailed logs of completed tasks, supply inventory levels, and safety inspections to ensure accountability. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, residential, or industrial settings is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing is highly desirable. Experience operating cleaning machinery like floor buffers or industrial vacuums is a plus. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and painting is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures consistently. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
