Part-Time Day Janitorial / Light Maintenance Position Position Summary The part-time day Janitorial / Light Maintenance staff member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across all school facilities. This role supports the mission of the school by ensuring that students, staff, and visitors experience a well-kept, welcoming, and Christ-centered learning environment aligned with the values of the school.

Times:

Monday-Friday 8am-1pm - no weekends or holidays Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, gymnasium, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces Set-up and break down cafeteria tables and clean in between lunch groups Clean and disinfect restrooms and restock supplies as needed Empty trash throughout the building Perform routine light maintenance tasks such as: Replacing light bulbs and filters Minor repairs (door handles, fixtures, furniture tightening, etc.) Reporting larger maintenance issues to administration Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and used safely Move classroom or office furniture as needed Respond to and properly clean and disinfect bodily fluid incidents in accordance with school health, safety, and sanitation protocols Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and request restocking as needed Follow all safety procedures and school policies Qualifications Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment and tools, including a floor scrubber machine Basic knowledge of light maintenance tasks Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Physically able to lift more than 50 pounds, bend, stand, and carry out routine custodial duties Requirements Must successfully pass a criminal background check Must demonstrate reliability, integrity, and discretion in a school setting Must support and respect the mission and values of a Christian school environment Work Environment This position works primarily inside a school facility with occasional outdoor responsibilities. This role is from 8am until 1pm Monday through Friday and follows our school calendar.
