Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hood Cleaner to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods and related ventilation systems. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, filters, ducts, and vents according to established safety protocols. Remove grease buildup and debris from all components of the ventilation system to prevent fire hazards. Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance or repair. Follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with local fire codes and health regulations. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks for each assigned site. Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding work schedules, safety concerns, or system issues. Use specialized cleaning tools and environmentally friendly cleaning agents to achieve optimal results. Requirements Prior experience in commercial cleaning, HVAC maintenance, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow safety protocols diligently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work. Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks that may involve climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, or lifting heavy equipment. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork. Valid driver's license may be required for travel between multiple job sites.
