Responsibilities Perform thorough commercial cleaning including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards. Utilize janitorial and custodial skills to maintain floors Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including deep cleaning of large areas and equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage. Support porters or custodial teams during busy periods or special cleaning projects to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to enhance surface longevity. Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively in various environments. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
