Environmental Technician (EVS)
Environmental Technician Job Summary:
The EVS Technician assists with departmental goals to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position will directly handle and monitor indoor environments including waste and bio-waste for collection, transportation, and storing. Other duties include the performance, coordination, and/or assistance of routine cleaning, sanitation and other housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Environmental Technician Responsibilities:
Cleans assigned areas to meet infection control and compliance standards and assists team members in completion of tasks. Creates daily job lists and records all serviced rooms; reports any shortages, damages, or security issues. Maintains equipment in good condition. Handles reasonable guests' complaints/requests and informs others when required, and fosters an environment that exemplifies the Hospital's Mission, Vision, and C.A.R.E values. Complies with health and safety regulations and abides with company and department policies and licensing laws. Environmental Technician Skills / Experience /
Education:
Preferred 2 years' experience in similar field. Ability to work in a team setting or independently. Prioritization and time management skills and adequate communication skills. Can pay attention to details. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
