Job Description

Summary We are seeking reliable Day custodians to join our team at USD# 316 Golden Plains School District. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. Your contributions will play a vital role in upholding our high standards of service. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common areas. Handle waste disposal and recycling according to company policies. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. Keeps the grounds tidy by assisting with mowing, weed control, and trash removal. This position would be a 75% custodial and 25% grounds/maintenance with possible higher percentages of time toward grounds during the heavy fall mowing season. Grounds/Maintenance
  • mowing (on a brand new Grasshopper mower), spray weeds, replace light bulbs, seasonally clean, cover & uncover window AC units in classrooms, check fire extinguishers & emergency lights, etc.
Requirements Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and equipment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. $17.00 hr

40 hour/week options: Monday-Friday 6:00 A.M.
