Midwest Maintenance is looking for a Day Porter/Office Assistant who brings genuine technical rigor to administrative and operational work. You'll be the person who catches what others miss, builds processes that actually hold up, and takes ownership of data accuracy in an environment where details directly impact payroll, scheduling, and service delivery. This role is primarily office-based, with a required operational coverage component: when a Day Porter calls out, you step in. That's not a footnote — it's part of the job, and we need someone who owns it without hesitation. What You'll Own Administrative, Data & Office Operations (Primary Focus) Own the accuracy and integrity of operational records, files, and documentation — audit-ready at all times Use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level: build and maintain trackers, analyze scheduling and attendance data, identify trends, flag discrepancies, and translate raw data into clean summaries for leadership Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues — coverage gaps, attendance patterns, operational breakdowns — and bring solutions, not just observations Manage timekeeping, labor, and budget data; coordinate corrections with supervisors, Payroll, and Operations Support hiring functions: coordinate interviews, assist with onboarding paperwork, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate Answer incoming calls and professionally route inquiries Identify opportunities for process improvement and follow through on them independently Manage your own priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight — you'll be trusted to know what needs to happen and to make it happen Operational Coverage (Required — As Needed) When a Day Porter calls out, you cover the shift.Come prepared:
